Tenova LOI Thermprocess, a Tenova Group company and one of the world's leading companies for industrial furnace systems for the heat treatment of metals, has undergone a change in management as part of an internal restructuring of the German group.
From November 2025, Dr. Krzysztof Hornig will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LOI Thermprocess GmbH, based in Duisburg, succeeding Mr. Christian Schrade, who has led the company for the past five years. Mr. Matthias Gogollok will continue to serve as CFO.
Dr. Hornig has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of thermal processes and industrial furnace technology and has held various leadership and management positions in internationally renowned companies in the metal industry. After completing his studies at the Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice and Clausthal University of Technology, Dr. Krzysztof Hornig received his doctorate with distinction in 2008 in the field of thermal process engineering at the Institute for Industrial Furnace Construction and Heat Technology at RWTH Aachen University.
He entered the industry in the same year, where he has held several leadership and management roles in different areas in recent years, including engineering and global sales. Before joining Tenova, he was Vice President and Head of the Industrial Furnaces Division at Andritz Metals Germany, where he was responsible for the global product portfolio.
‘I am looking forward to the new challenge,’ says Dr. Hornig, commenting on his start at the company, adding: ‘The combination of traditional industrial furnace engineering with the latest technologies and the culture of innovation at Tenova LOI Thermprocess forms the basis for complete technological solutions that our customers so urgently need in view of the challenges posed by the green transition.’
